The Learning Farms of Iowa State University use a rainfall simulator to demonstrate erosion on five different types of soil: intense tillage, minimum tillage, no tillage, perennial vegetation and urban environment. In addition to showing clearly the runoff generated on each soil type, this fourteen-minute shows what goes into a tile system beneath each sample.
